Using Prayer & Spirituality

We have been taught to ask God for the things that are important to us and the things that fill our wants. Have we ever asked ourselves where those wants come from? We are bombarded constantly with advertising messages telling us what society and popular culture thinks are important. It’s no wonder that our society is lost in the process of gaining more stuff.

When our prayers for these things go unanswered we get mad at God. We turn our backs on him and go out and attempt to fill that void with more stuff. It is a never-ending cycle that ultimately leads to unhappiness and pain.

When we learn to pray correctly though, the pain disappears. We learn to pray to God for the things He wants in our life. We come to realize that there is a purpose and a plan for each one of us. We realize that we are becoming spiritual in our journey and begin praying even more for His plan. This leads to an upward spiral of success and happiness.
