Pray Continually

The Principle of Prayer & Spirituality: I must be in consistent and constant discussion with God as His thoughts become my own and His ways envelop my being.

Many people I speak with admit to praying at least several times a week. They know that prayer is a very important aspect to their overall success in life. After all, prayer is a time to tell God what’s on your mind. You tell Him about your worries and struggles (He already knows these but telling Him helps you). You also use this time to let God know what He means in your life.

Praising God should be an integral part of anybody’s prayer life. It should be in the form of words; what you say to God directly. You can also listen to some music that sings of God’s greatness and who knows, if nobody’s watching, maybe you can sing along with the music. Asking for direction and guidance is another important aspect to praying. God is waiting there ready and willing to give you the direction and guidance you need. All you need to do is ask.

Prayer should be taking place when you are having the greatest day of your life. If everything is going right and all of you your plans are happening exactly as planned, you should be thanking God. It should also be happening when everything is going wrong. When it seems like you can’t do anything right, you should be praying for peace, direction and serenity.

What is important here is to pray continually. Speak to God throughout the day. Ask Him to guide and lead you through difficult and challenging situations. Ask Him to give you guidance when you are unsure what action to take. Thank Him for giving you wisdom when you make a tough decision correctly. Thank Him for giving you the serenity you need to accomplish His will for you.
